Colour Code Tuesday: Robin Egg Blue

Who knew that Crayola crayons could be so educational? I love this colour as it is like a younger version of teal.

This is the hem of Robin Egg Blue.

“Robin Egg Blue” is one of the official Crayola crayon colours and is named after the colour of the egg shell laid from the America Robin. Thus, this colour may also be called “Egg Shell Blue”.

The distinct colour which Tiffany & Co. have trademarked is called “Tiffany Blue”. This blue was used for their first book, “Tiffany’s Blue Book” (1845). This particular blue is the lighter version (not pastel, as it still retains its sharpness) of Robin Egg Blue.
